I only posted this in the hope that more people would become aware of this horrid thing.

If for any reason a moderator feels that this is inappropriate for this forum please do close! keep in mind that i only posted this to spread awareness. Being a general cat lover this shocked me. i suppose in the end you can't be surprised.

The Video itself might be a reconstruction but i can assure you the practice does occur. Stray dogs & cats are often used as bait in the most backward of countries. However as the video shows "Rich white men" are doing this to.

The "rich white men" part is obviously added to dramatize the story, corporations are run by rich white men, corporations are evil, ipso facto, everything rich white men do is evil.
Not always true, but in this case it obviously is.

If it's true, it is f**ked up beyond believe, and action should be taken, wherever possible. (Not by me, as I'm lazy, but by other people, of course)
But what does annoy is the fact people are so hooked on having domesticated cats these days, and so they can oh-so-much fun taking pictures of their beloved "lolcats", while at the same time the oceans are fished empty just to feed the damn cats. And it that sense, this is terribly ironic ...

Don't get me wrong, I'm disgusted by this form of twisted "entertainment" Rothan made us aware of, but I also believe there should be a halt towards pet cats.

Ok, so?

You create awareness, stop the "rich white men" from fishing with cats and then what? They go back to the pound, never get adapted since they are breeding like crazy anyway and eventually get put to sleep since shelters room out of room/funding. Nothing is achieved.

THOSE cats have a bad time: they put them in jars with one hole to breathe and one hole to defecate, and they spend the rest of their lives in there. The jars are placed in houses as decoration.
